Edging closer to…..

What? The life you’ve been dreaming about for….the last 50 fucking years?  What’s up with that?!  Now that we’ve moved on from the topical shit let’s get back to the real nitty gritty.  My nitty gritty.  Why the hell not?  Am I writing this for a readership.  Hell no!  What readership?!  I don’t see no stinkin’ readership. (sorry, my friends don’t count as “regular readership”.  but keep writing guys ‘cuz I sure need the encouragement).

Where was I in this rambling, rapier rampage of revolt….. Whew!  I’m tired now. That took a lot out of me.  That and having my resident roger* talking to me while I write.  Gee, I guess I am going to have to stop now.  It’s either that or stop the roger in the midst of talking.  Not an easy feat as some of us well know.  (we luv ya but when you have diarrhea of the mouth, as mom used to say, well I have to all but put a fork in my head)

Speaking of being “done”.  Isn’t that something.  Sitting down in a blurry of a hurry with that fleeting scottian edge I spoke of over at the Wakefield Doctrine earlier this morning, I now find myself loosing something.  But am I loosing it or is it being drained?  There is a difference.  Oh..no…I…am….loo..s..in…g  the e…n….er…………………..gy.  H-a-v-e  to get back….u..up.  A song has been thrust into my oratory orafice and destroying my train of thought.(where the hell is the conductor!)

This video.  Tell me it is not a perfect theme song for rogers? LOL

Now here’s a clarklike take of the Isley’s song in that most memorable Kill Bill series….and a rather appropriate ending for this Girlie today.

* “definition” of these luvable lugs over at the Wakefield Doctrine

seeing how we all live in perfect worlds, worlds that created each and every new day*, what would you have the Reader or Readers say? (…”pick me!!” …over here!! I know! I know!!!”)
If I say, “we know how you feel and wish you well”, will you take that to mean:
    a) maintain the life that has driven you to the point of being able to write the above Post or
    b) we hear what you are saying today and assure you that we back your stated desire to throw away all of the life you have built in order to redeem what remains…
    sure, why not?

    * each sucessive day being like the day before, but with the highs and lows sanded out of them until the thrilling mountain trail becomes a dusty road on a sandy, lifeless plain.

I would not necessarily have the readers say anything. If they wish it is their prerogative to say what they will and I am happy to reply.
What is option c) again? 🙂
      Thanks for reading today.

when you mentioned your “resident roger” talking i’m reminded of when i called about car stuff. he was so funny. going into the history* of his jobs at dealerships… and about car parts and so on and so forth. all kidding aside, he was very helpful.
can you imagine living in that “blurry of a hurry”? you have such a way with words. i crack a smile everytime.
*history being the keyword as we all know. oh those rogers….

He is a very well informed man that is for sure. And the thing about today is I was actually interested to hear what he had to say only not at that precise moment. It’s that damn timing thing….
Thank you for the encouragement. Always appreciated:)

Well I can sure identify with the “resident Roger talking” problem. When mine cranks up her word factory it’s three shifts going full blast producing a veritable torrent of words –often bereft of meaning–usually bereft of any real information. Just “wordnoises”, as I call ’em. Quacking–just to let me know she is there. And of course when there is such an oversupply of words–the demand(never that high to start with) goes way down. Stick a fork in my head? How about a red hot iron poker down my throat? I have BEGGED her to stop talking–with tears in my eyes. I would kill myself but that would just give her something to talk about. Not that she needs a topic..In fact, a topic would fuck her right up. Not only does she talk non-stop…she talks wrong. Non-specific nouns like “thing” “guy” “place” So you have no clue what she is talking about. “Remember that time we were at that place and that guy did that thing?” So, if by some odd chance you wanted to know what she is talking about, you have to conduct a post-talking, debriefing interview to find out what the fuck she meant. And then…if you go to all that trouble..you find out it’s just some banal, boring, un-noteworthy thing—not worth the effort you spent trying to find it out. Rogers are WAY TOO MUCH WORK. You may want to try my technique for signalling to my roger that she is talking when I do not want her to. When your … gesture. Your roger will perceive the subtle message that perhaps now (Like, this life time) is not a good time to chat for you. This has the added advantage of being somewhat humorous–so, you and your roger can enjoy endless mirth over your use of this signal. Or, if you prefer, the fork in the head is also good…

Huh…Was there a sign on the “door” that said “roger bitch fest here“? Don’t mean to butt in, but maybe you and the Mrs. should sit down and talk about the talking. Really. Or maybe you should find another way to deal with the “inconvenience” in some other manner?
The current post was interrupted but I did not let that interruption deter me from “producing” something. “Better or for gregarious x infinity”(too lazy to find the symbol). And did I detect humor in your closing? Hopefully, it was all in jest:)
So what else have ya got for me?

what is it with you people? you all have “resident rogers.” fascinating. and just what does that tell us about rogers? that they are the best of the three to be in a relationship for clarks and scotts (despite the complaining above)?

    • Girlieontheedge June 1, 2011 / 10:29 am

Wow! You go girl! You must follow up to your statement “they are the best of the three to be in a relationship for clarks and scotts (despite the complaining above)?
Why are rogers the best to be in a relationship for clarks and scotts?
(“takes a woman to make a stand, takes a scottian woman to handle a man”)*

*future song lyrics for the soundtrack to the screenplay in progress for the movie about the Wakefield Doctrine?

  5. AKH June 1, 2011 / 12:16 pm

a future song in the making lol i think your “lyrics” bode well to the answer to the question. but i will expound upon that later…
actually i too had a non-resident roger for a short time but he turned out to be an asshole.

Was just in the middle of a post so maybe that explains it but I am not sure of what you are saying. Clarify please?
Should I have taken offense to someone?

…”and the Natural Guard!” (the rest of glenn’s quote of FireSign Theatre, ‘I Think we’re all bozos on this Bus) Totally worth looking up.

    • Girlieontheedge June 2, 2011 / 3:14 pm

Well, there Glenn goes again with quotes I am not familiar with however, I do recall listening to FireSign Theatre once upon a time ago.
I agree, it is totally worth looking up.

      • AKH June 3, 2011 / 8:47 pm

no you shouldn’t have taken offense to someone. i thought maybe glenn was giving me a hard time lol (the redundancy thing…)
