Good Friday morning, afternoon and/or evening.  It is Friday and as such this Girlie will post what is turning out to be a weekly plug for The Wakefield Doctrine’s live Saturday Night Drive Along Call In Show (otherwise known as tag along with a Progenitor and Downspring or 2).

In keeping with the idea of driving around with the Progenitor clark, one or two scotts, another clark and possibly a roger, let me share with you how this “sense of community” can enhance a person’s life. 

First though, according to these 2 psychologists – McMillan and Chavis (no relation to McMillan and Wife, although admired just as much) there are 4 components inherent in that ultimate and most rogerian thing some refer to as a “sense of community”.   Mac and Chavis propose these as the “four elements” that support their theory:

 1) Membership (go rogers!), 2) Influence (have scott, will dominate),
 3) Integration and fulfillment of needs (maybe if you try a little harder clarks) and 4) Shared emotional connection (gotcha! surrounded by rogers again)

So how can you really increase your sense of community?  By learning a simple method that shows you how to figure out why people act the way they do.  As they say over at the Doctrine and other places (sidebar drum roll please) if you know how a person perceives the world then you can know how they will act in that world.  Simple premise.
