What Else Can I Do?

It’s TToT time again. Thank goodness I can say that….”again.”  Say, how many of you can claim to be going on your 3rd life? Really? Yeah, well, I can. And if I EVER get back to producing my other blog, tube tops, tattoos and TimeLines, I’ll talk about these TimeLines and such. “Cuz that’s what they are.

But we’re not gonna get all mumbo jumbo here at the Edge (ya know… if you hold your cursor over the title to my blog, it turns red. see?) today. No sir. Not today. Today, we’re gonna get all thankful because dammit! there is shit I’m thankful for…

Like being able to ignore (for longer periods) the nagging, persistent doubt ringing my mind’s doorbell.

Or for not letting fear get too ramped up. You know, so that it totally incapacitates me.

Getting to work this weekend before noon! Which helps a little with getting a handle on the schizoid life I’ve been living since last October and….still feeling I’ve a few marbles of sanity left.  At this, I invoke from the BOSR, basic rule # 7.35 found under sub-heading Dualities, that allows for the use of 2 Thankfuls when combined in a contextual manner. Obvious or not.

That my office is now not moving before March 1 of next year.

That my boss is so amenable (at least at the moment lol)  to my making a decision to transfer to our Virginia Beach office or not.  Nice to have the option on the table but at the same time kind of sucks because I don’t really know what to do now!

Have I mentioned control? Ah. Maybe not. If you know clarks, you know that we be somewhat of control freaks (secret and sometimes not so). Different in the way rogers manifest control…the thankful about control is basically being able to reign in…..STOP! I feel the mumbo, jumbo coming on. LOL

Got to count that one, up there, directly preceding this, as a thankful and a half! Whew! You guys just dodged a bullet so let me put in a thankful for you, by me by proxy….

I am extremely thankful for the weather we’ve had this past week. Mostly sunny, low humidity. The fact that today is supposed to see the return of 90 degrees and high humidity? “S ok. It means that summer has not yet departed.

Having just said that, I look forward to my favorite season of the year! Fall.  For the first time since 2003, I will experience a full autumnal season here in the mid-Atlantic.

I’m taking a long weekend for the Labor Day. Going back to my homeland. For respite and perspective. Should I win some sort of lottery, I shan’t be returning to Virginia! LOL (thankful for a good imagination – the part about not returning)

So you could move to the beach and work? That does sound pretty nice.
    Hang onto those marbles!

I’m looking forward to fall, too. And though options for work do require decision eventually, at least you have some time to decide. 🙂

There are so many aspects of the season that you can’t ignore – color, the smells, the change in air and texture of the light.
Yes, I’m very appreciative for the extra time.

My favorite season is fall, as well. I can’t wait for some cooler temps. I just hope we GET a fall this year. The last few have gone from hot to cold overnight.

I worry about that too. Actually, I worry that it’s going to be a worse winter than last one!
My ideal fall would begin late September with temps still in the lower 70’s. October would see a gradual decline to the 60’s and November would…stay the same! LOL

That sounds lovely, but I think your fears are valid. They are already calling for a worse winter than last year.

I feel like you cheated. Somehow. But I can’t figure out how. You’re clever, I’ll give you that.

Glad you get to go home.

    HATE that summer’s nearly over.

Why thank you Zoe. That means a lot coming from the Emissary-ess in charge of the keeping of the BOSR/SBOR:)
Aha! I will hope you get the nine! Interesting question – using them simultaneously. Thanks for putting that puzzle in my head. I promise to devote too much time to figuring that out. LOL
      I’ll try!!!

I’m getting mighty tired of all this fall talk. It’s only mid-August! I want some warm weather, dagnabbit! We can’t have fall until we have summer, and summer weather has yet to hit.
    Tantrum over.
Virginia Beach is a lovely place. My sister now lives there, and I was there for her wedding. It’s good to have a choice, and good to have time to decide.
So glad you get to go home for some R&R.
Cool header, turning colors and all.

It is only mid-August and I agree. There’s plenty of summer that should be left but the light! It’s so looking like pre-school!! I’m sorry you’re not getting hot weather. I would gladly you send you some of ours:)

I may have to pick your brain further about VAB. Did you stay long? How was the beach?
Even a few days will be welcome.
      I thought so too:)

I was only there for 36 hours. We were at the beach just before sunset. It stretched as far as we could see, and there was a nice boardwalk all along it. If you have any questions, I can ask my sister for you!

Such a short visit! Sounds like it was a lovely wedding:)
I’d heard it was one of the longest stretches of beach.
The zip code of the office is 23452. If I were to go there, I’d love to live as close to the beach as possible. I’m curious about cost of living there. Maybe you could ask the neighborhoods/areas to stay away from? Hard to know the good and bad parts of towns sometimes.

We lived in Chesapeake for eight years. Sadly, beyond all sadness, we moved to Maryland in 2000. Fracking over taxed liberal-ass MD with O’Money for first the mayor (of B’more) and now the guvner. Can’t wait to get the heck out of here…anyway…Chesapeake was lovely. I do believe that is has grown to be quite developed but there may be some charm left in Great Bridge (where we lived). It is not beachfront like VA Beach but that also keeps the tourist at a minimum. Good luck in your decision.

Yes, MD has a “reputation” lol. I was through VAB only once many years ago and it seemed to me it was rather developed then. That seems to be the way with certain areas in VA. I believe we also drove through Great Bridge. I am very familiar with living in touristy places:) Can be a pain sometimes. Thanks Patti. It’s a tough decision. Will have to go down in the next month and check it out.

I live in Arizona and I love the fall here, too! Fall and winter months here are my favorite. I like when my husband has long weekends off because of the American holidays. 🙂

I’ve never been to Arizona and consequently never considered a place with such hot temps as having fall:) Now I’m going to have to research the seasons in Arizona!
      Yes, long weekends are great!
