Heart rate Not Detected….it’s a TToT.

Good morning all! And what a morning it is at the ‘Edge. I feel compelled to write a Ten Things of Thankful post today. What is it that “compels” me to write? What is the little thing, masquerading as spontaneous creativity, that suddenly has me “needing” to write a TToT? That’s just it. It isn’t one thing.  It’s been a series of events; somewhat of a snowball of a morning. I began by checking e-mail. As soon as I open it, I’m completely overwhelmed – when the hell am I going to delete some of these?! So I click on a couple….yeah, yeah, yawn, whatever…then I come to the tweet notification e-mail. That’s when I thought I heard a knocking on the door. Thank you Kerry! It was your tweet February 5 that started the ball rolling. ToT numero uno :D.

TToT 2 – Sense of humor. This morning’s title was inspired by an event at my new gym last week. I’d been pedaling easily 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and at a pretty good clip. Put my hands on the handles to get my heart rate. Holding, holding until the following message started scrolling across the screen: “Heart rate not detected. Resistance being reduced”. I laughed out loud.

TToT 3the Wakefield Doctrine. (sliced bread?, whatev)

TToT 4Six Sentence Stories. I know Kristi, as host of the TToT, can relate when sometimes I wonder, “why did I agree to do this?” lol. And then I remember all the wonderful reasons, like meeting new writers, reading new writers, expanding my world just a little bit more. And the regulars? Damn! I continue to be so totally impressed by the writing skills and the commitment and the…everyone is a pleasure to know 🙂

TToT 5 – Good health.

TToT 6 – Technology!!! Yeah, it’s got it’s negatives but I sure am glad to have access.

TToT 7 – People in my life to tell me the “hard stuff”.

TToT 8 – Sunshine.

TToT 9 – Music.

TToT 10 – I woke up today. ‘nough said. Life is now. Today. Only. Ready set, go.

Ha! I love your TToTs. 🙂 Even though I don’t participate these days, I still enjoy seeing these posts from you and Clark. It’s my lil Doctrine fix – a temporary foray into a clarkian universe…and it is good. 🙂
I’m thankful for having had our paths cross. You are an incredible writer and it’s so fun to have followed your musings over the years. So glad for YOU! 🙂

Thank you 🙂 What would we do without the Doctrine! Oh, yeah. All good as they say, lol.
I too am so grateful our paths crossed. One of those times when people were just supposed to meet 😀
Thank you my friend for reading and supporting me.
I am glad for you, too 🙂

P.S Thank you for the Guided Meditations!

Giggling about heart rate. I wear gym gloves so I’m a heart rate daredevil. Still kicking. 😜

I spent part of last week deleting emails. Still have lots yet to delete; hoping to get to them before the inbox reaches the level of out-of-control that it had.

“Heart rate not detected” LOL. At least it decreased the resistance, instead of demanding you work harder to get the rate up!

No doubt you have a whole lot more to delete, lol. Being away and not “connected” has wonderful advantages but the price paid after returning from holiday? Ugh! Good luck!
True, but kinda makes you wonder 😀

Oh, wow! So glad you looked at the screen in #2! Being able to sense the humor of the moments in our lives gets us through the hard stuff.
Congratulations for getting on the recumbent bike, at a pretty good clip, no less.
Sunshine, music and waking up. YESSSS

Oh, yeah. That made my afternoon, lol. So true. Humor helps to take the edge off almost anything.
Thanks! I’m really excited about getting back into a regular gym routine. It’s now or never 🙂
      😀
