Thanks, Janet. Agreed. This is it. This day, this moment. Regret is an insidious poison with no antidote.

Excellent! It’s appointed unto man once to die…

    No extensions it seems.

I wonder what those slipping out of life think 🤔

    Another great six!

      So it is written.
Nope. No extensions. While a little curious my own self, I’d like to wait a long time before finding that out 🙂
      Thanks, Paul!

Now that is a name I had not come across as I have done genealogy research, so I just had to check in with Google.

Perfect story for the prompt. Having a loved one in a coma is so difficult for the family.

I’ve heard that name before, seen it somewhere but with a different spelling. Because of you, I Googled it too 🙂 How fascinating looking up names!

      Thank you, Pat.
I can only imagine. Tragic and no doubt more difficult to deal with than if the loved had died.

Better start a new innings, rather than have people wait and prepare for your end.

Oh, yes. It’s not particularly easy to “live in the moment” all day every day but surely we all have enough reminders that we only get one shot at life so we’d better make the best of it and ourselves. Now.

Wow! We went in the same direction with this one! Great minds? I’d say 106 is a pretty good run, I have no desire to hang around that long, but I bet I’d still be procrastinating on important stuff! 😊

      We did 🙂 Great minds!!
I don’t know. If I was physically and mentally fit and self sufficient, might be cool to live that long!

funny how the word ‘extension’ (equally useful when referring to electric outlets and secondary roads) seemed to totally turn a number of us towards the dark end of the hall…

      So true.
I had briefly considered a story involving hair extensions yet kept returning to the “plea for more time” angle. Or, the “dark end of the hall…” 🙂

Love your comment to Clark as the first thing I thought about was hair extensions 🙂
Enjoyed your six. I’m not sure if I’d want to live that long myself but it might be fun 🙂

Know what you mean. I’d never want to be a burden to any of my family and only want to live that long if I was of sound mind and body. Then it would be fun!
