I fell, feather floating freely, into a full embrace. Feeling immediate comfort, it was a place familiar. Unconditional acceptance, disappointment rare, I was home. Falling together upon the 4 poster bed, clutched in my hands my escape awaited, loyal and steadfast. I submitted secure in the knowledge, in spite of fear or uncertainty, comfort awaited. While our relationship had grown sporadic over the years it never lost its spontaneity or sense of fun and so I indulged in a good old fashioned, old school murder mystery by none other than the Dame herself.
Great escape!

There is no escape quite like a book of the genre you love best.

Ah the wonderful escape into books, a love affair that every writer I’ve ever known was familiar with. How much poorer our lives would be without these encounters. Very well written, great take on the prompt!

I simply cannot imagine a life without books. Indeed, our lives would be poorer.
Thank you, Josie!
