The whole affair was torrid, taking the obvious and inevitable toll. Sapping her of energy and vitality, it had purloined her self-respect – had she no self control?
Well meaning friends tried unsuccessfully to help, offering suggestions; sometimes sharing their own experiences. How long would she continue the charade of convincing herself she knew how to end the almost nightly interruptions?
She staggered out of bed at 5:00 am but not before turning back to gaze covetously upon the nest of down pillows and rumpled up cottons blankets. Silently vowing to discover a cure for her nocturnal leg cramps, she headed for the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee.
Well, I was not expecting that twist at the end. Excellent!

They are! It’s been awhile since I’ve been vexed with them with such frequency. Maybe I’ll attribute it to Mercury being in retrograde 😀

Well, that was quite the twist. Well done.
As for leg cramps, what has helped me is consuming bananas. Unfortunately that doesn’t immediately take care of the problem but does lessen the cramping within a few days.

Thank you, Pat. I remember. I eat a banana every day and there have been times I’ll eat one when I’m up with a cramp. Might be psychological, but I think it helps 🙂

I understand that if one were to walk a reasonable distance each day, before retiring, a significant diminution of the condition might be enjoyed.
Clearly from the use of the word ‘twist’ in the above comments, this is not as wide-spread a condition as one might think. lol

Thanks. Appreciate the reminder as it has been a proven resource in reducing the frequency.
