Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories! Alright boys and girls, after a bit of self-deliberation (culminating in a spur of the moment reaction), I decided to use the “new” WP block editor thingamajig to write this post. I’ll spare you the gamut of mind machinations leading up to my decision however, I will share the fact I experienced a moment of certain discomfit. Far be it for technology to interfere with the continuation of this most awesome of blog hops, so without further ado, I offer for your writing pleasure, this week’s word prompt. Use this word within exactly 6 sentences and you gain entrance to a wonderfully fun and challenging writing challenge. The bonus? You get to hob nob with a group of the most awesome writers anywhere. Enjoy your writing and the week ahead. And if you swear you hear a scream off in the distance, most likely it’s me navigating and exploring my new dashboard 🙂 Later, peeps!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Return here, link your post Wednesday night through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

I felt great resistance with the new block editor but I’m finding it easier than I thought.

That’s encouraging Lisa. I didn’t want to pay for the upgrade to keep classic editor so I said “what the heck” and dove in! Definitely not as bad as I thought but still need to learn more. I can’t isolate text color for the prompt word for example, it changes the entire line. Any tips? If I block each part, won’t that show as 2 lines?

I am loving the block editor, once I got the hang of it. So much faster and easier!! Resistance is a great prompt! 😊

Good to hear, Josie. Lisa said the same thing.
Maybe you could read my comment to her? Any input/suggestions on isolating text for color would be much appreciated 🙂

Honestly, if I had to choose (and I can if I pay for it) I’d keep the classic editor but I’ll give this block editor a chance 😉
