Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Here we are thankfully, once again. Writing. Reading. Creating. Sharing. Discovering. Challenging. Practicing. Escaping. Enjoying. What, I ask you, is not enticing about engaging in an activity that offers all of that and more? Today or this week between Wednesday and Saturday next, I invite all writers, everywhere, to write a Six Sentence Story, and return to the ‘Edge to link it for the benefit and enjoyment of any who wander these halls. Today – it’s the only day. Enjoy. Write. Be. Read you on the flip side.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Return here, link your post Wednesday night through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: OASIS
“The things that the novel does not say are necessarily more numerous than those it does say and only a special halo around what is written can give the illusion that you are reading also what is not written.” – Italo Calvino

I love the Calvino quote, Denise, especially as I’m trying to complete my novel…the quote elicits a valuable ponder! And oh my, what a fine prompt word–“oasis”. It’s perfect for Thanksgiving week, perfect for “faith and friendship”. You rock this 6SS challenge Every Week!!! I feel blessed to be a long-time part of it 🙂 ❤ And I pray huge blessings on you and your family–for bountiful protection and provision–GOD IS GOOD!! ❤

I am glad you found it inspiring Z and I totally agree! Stay with your novel until complete! Funny, it was a last minute switch from another “O” word I was going to use 🙂
Thank you! It’s been wonderful seeing you return week after week, I love that you have become a regular 🙂 And again, thank you Z – may you and your family be safe and well too ❤️
