Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Why do we do the things we do? Why? Now, let’s ask that question of our characters. What is their motivation? What compels them? Do their actions fully define who they are? Will their actions have an effect on others? And what about our poetry? I believe there are way many more poets who have yet to write a Six Sentence Story poem. Back in the day, writing on pads, I abhorred the idea of letting anyone read my words of poetry. What if they laughed! Thought my words sucked?! Fear. It’s insidious. Let’s not feed the monster. Each week, I extend an invitation to contribute precisely 6 sentences of fiction, fantasy, poetry… our creative selves, to this growing community of writers. If we do not write, we cannot improve. If we are already good, then why not share? Let us not waste another day. Write some words. Put them in 6 sentences and let’s see whatcha got.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Return here, link your post Wednesday night through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

PROMPT WORDTHEORY

Even when passages seemed to come easily, as though I were copying from a folio held open by smiling angels, the manuscript revealed the usual signs of struggle—bloodstains, teethmarks, gashes, and burns.” – Annie Dillard

What fun these are, Denise! Funnily enough I was having a chat with one of my new characters in the early hours of the morning. He’s complicated but I’m starting to understand him. Great quote too.

So glad you enjoy, Chris 😀 I do envy you for that. Could use a good heart to heart with some of my more recent characters.
How I wish for more of those open folios!
