What do you guys think? Up for Part 4?!
***************
“How the hell you let some broad steal my money boy, goddamn it!”
The red of the dusk-burned skyline was no match for the shade of crimson spreading across Jimmy Muldoon’s face like wildfire…
Forgetting who I was talking to and a fire of my own igniting… “she drugged me, slipped something into my drink – c’mon Jimmy, don’t you think I’d remember a trip to Atlantic City, hanging out in a suite at the Claridge Hotel and waking up to find a dead man as party favor?! Something else is goin’ on Jimmy, I can feel it in my bones – the dead guy wasn’t shot, he had a damn knife stickin’ out of his chest for god’s sake, I mean, this chick could have shot him, but knife him? She don’t know me from jack, so how’d she know I’d made the Friday night dock run – no, she was nothing more than front end of a set up ‘cuz no way in hell a powerful boss like Sid Solemi is sending his girlfriend to pull a penny ante heist, no way boss, I think this has something to do with you.”
“That’s enough outta you, boy, I’ll find out what Sid’ is up to; in the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for Miss Klepto – you spot her, come tell me pronto and one of the boys’ll fetch her for a talk with your’s truly.”
It looks like Jimmy survived telling his boss he lost the money. Now to see how deep this mystery gets. Nice build up suggesting his boss may be the target.

I’m thinking it might go very deep, Frank! Thank you. We’ll have to see if his boss is the target 😉

Thanks, Chris! Glad you enjoyed. Funny how sometimes music appears and says, “hey! pick me!” 🙂

Glad he survived the wrath of his boss, who seems like he’s placed his trust in him wisely over the years.
Good episode, D – with rich and crackling dialogue which brings the scene bam right in front of your eyes! 😎

Lucky that Jimmy’s such a softie, hmm?
Intense stuff, Denise

Since you’re asking – Jimmy’s not really a softie. He’s just got a soft spot for our protagonist 😀
Thank you, CE!

for god-knows what reason, I get a voice/line in my head, courtesy of a long-ago actor in a movie from way,

Your language in the dialogue is so of the time and the place. Such great voices. A really powerful piece, Denise, and you’re keeping me intrigued to know what’s going to happen. It’s so good.

I’m glad it sounded “authentic”. Movies growing up no doubt helped with that, lol
