Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
As title and first sentence indicates, it is Sunday. (for some) The day the word is given. (the irony just hit me. huh). It occurs to me selfishness naturally figures in the world of a writer – for time spent writing, musing, “day dreaming” or, more concretely, in the utilization of words. You know what I mean. Those times we personally take a liking to a certain phrasing, the way a paragraph builds, the intensity of visual description. This is a good thing! However, it can also be a selfish thing if it does not serve our storyline or protagonist. It appears to this novice writer, there’s a lot of “tape” that hits the cutting room floor. Yet, is this not the means by which we discover the true story? Or uncover a concurrent story just as important? The invitation stands – go in search of story, poem, scene… write your piece in exactly 6 sentences and show us who, what, where, and when. Then bring it on home. To Six Sentence Stories.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
