Hold the Door! It’s a 6.

Due to….there’s been a change in… however, may we bring you…

A little story about the block.  No, no, no – not about how I’ve been around the block a few times or how sometimes there’s nothing like a gourmet block of cheese, a few crackers and a half carafe of Merlot. Rather the fact ’tis Saturday evening, midnight approaches and it appears I’ve lost something by the roadside. Not irretrievable, yea I have confidence recovery will be had. However, now the lanterns burn low, day put to bed. Softly, dreams unfold, drifting into darkness until they discover me, their gentle treatment guiding me out from around the block.

    Just as long as you don’t do your block. 🙂 (Aus. slang for ‘get very angry’)

    Sweet dreams dear D 😊 And though “there’s nothing like a gourmet block of cheese, a few crackers and a half carafe of Merlot” (yum!) … nothing is quite as pleasing as restful sleep eh: “lanterns burn low, day put to bed. Softly, dreams unfold…” a sweet line 😎
    I love your ‘here and now dreamy’ poem. Confidence in the narrator’s confidence there. The block is sometimes a hard place to navigate.

    The title: ‘Hold the door!’ A Hodor ref? Winter is coming, but it’s okay coz we got big coats and big hearts!

    The BE song… wow, I never heard that from last year. “In love with my future, can’t wait to meet her.” Ethereal + funky disco vibe + excellent animation. A tearjerker but full of hope. Just listened to and watched it 3 times… wow… can see why you chose that.

      Thank you, V 😊 Nothing quite.

      Oh, it certainly is difficult to navigate and at times seems a “battle” of wills. The challenge then becomes being aware of when to “give up” one path and allow words to take another.

      Not a reference to Hodor, but! I googled that and what a scene! I’ve never watched Game of Thrones (or read the books) but it’s on the list now, lol. Indeed winter is coming – c’est vrai – we do! (Title came from knowing the link was closing soon and I hadn’t written my 6)

      A very cool song. Billie has a unique voice. The first time I heard her sing it on the radio, I was transfixed. Ethereal is a most apt descriptor V, 😎

    Slowly back to the roots…
    … drifting in a calm sea…
    …away from chronesthesia’s winds…
    …back to the roots;
    flowers who ignore fame and adoration. 🌬

    Hey! I’ve been there!! Mostly residential, a few vacant lots with random piles of tractor parts, wild grass trying to hide the rust.

    ‘cellent Sixifying.

    Billie… a credit to her people, for sure.
