It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
Writing. This thing with which we have a love/hate relationship is akin to learning to play a musical instrument. One must practice, practice, practice; suffer through the “man, that sucks” or “can’t believe I couldn’t get that lick down” until the day we realize it just got a little easier. In the meantime, what are some exercises to help us polish our skills? One such exercise is participating in blog hops such as Six Sentence Stories. Consider the Six a hexatonic scale. Yo, Clark! Spira! Tell ’em, guys. The rules for the Six are simple, the writing of a Six, not always easy and yet the feeling of accomplishment when you’ve linked your 6 and only 6 sentences? You got it – priceless. Today we invite you to show off your writing chops and share a chunk of “soc”, piece of flash fiction, slice ‘o poetry or the next tantalizing installment in your ongoing serial. Bring it here, to the ‘Edge. If you write it, we will read it.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

I am the last in line of those who should speak…

…but the bait was delicious, aka hexatonic scale, and I swallowed 😄 with pleasure.

That and my ongoing discussions about children with ADHD …

…wait, what are you talking about?

As someone who advocates an approach to said disorder in a way not exclusively based on and restricted by the pathology of it but find, use and benefit the power of the different brain instead of dogmatically pursue to iron out everything towards a “normal” brain…

…in a similar manner I believe, creators should embrace their unique “wiring”; practice it and amplify it with a diverse spectrum of stimuli but most importantly, not get L o s t when doubt creates overwhelming waves of defeat- and that’s where hospitable hubs as the present one come into play.

May the taste linger, Spira 😉

In a general sense, I identify with exploring that which others may be unwilling or lack ability to explore…

…and in that regard, appreciate your encouragement of those who frequent this place, use this venue, as means of creative expression, exploration; who enjoy the sense of community.

      (Btw, excellent Six)
