L’heure bleue. It’s a 6.

Santa Rosa Island Authority | What's Happening Star Gazing

Dusk, slow dancing solo takes one last dip; is swept up into nightfall’s widening arms
Shadows shy, pirouette and bow; twilight’s last gift delicately cede to darkness deep
Moon, captive at horizon’s edge, breaks free, rising red above oceans waving blue
Sand sparkles diamond dust, evening orb light’s luminescence captured
Stars steady, celestial cues twinkle; tease, infinity’s guide at a glance
Temporal the time.. curtain call commences.. enter dawn’s curtsey…

What a beautiful word picture you paint, Denise, with an accompanying soundscape of alliteration to carry it along. ‘…enter dawn’s curtsey…’ Perfect finish.

The late, late dance invites sweet dawn to dance. Beautiful images, better than any dream!

Superb, Denise, especially ‘swept up into nightfall’s widening arms’ and ‘rising red above oceans waving blue’. Please tell me that you are going to offer this to some poetry journals.

    Mesmerizing!!
    And that voice of Eilen…

(Note to self: combinations like your current one justify the poet saying : “Goodnight;Too much Sunday for one person… ”
I’m off to jam over Eilen’s I remember you)

Hope it was a good jam)

Wonderful word choices come together to conjure a splendid scene. I agree with Doug, go for it Denise. Submit! 🙂

      Thank you, Chris!
There was a very long list on the site Doug directed me but all the ones I’d gotten through, as of last night, didn’t accept submissions already published somewhere else. I’ll keep looking and in the meantime, keep my poetry stuff to my self for now on, lol.

Ah yes, that’s a good point, Denise. But at least we get to read your words and they give us Sixerians a lot of pleasure 🙂

Yes! In answer to the spam question, it appears your reply was swallowed! My apologies, Chris. Just logged on a few minutes ago and spotted it.

A beautiful set piece of words, D, with a beginning, middle and an end:

“Dusk, slow dancing solo takes one last dip”

    “Evening orb light’s luminescence”

    “Enter dawn’s curtsey…”

(that last line is perfect!) 😎
