Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Here we go. I’m way late in publishing this post. Perhaps I’m suffering from reverse osmosis temporal displacement!?! (what was in my morning coffee!) Though I be stuck in a bit of mud at the moment, runaway train appears to be what this day’s about. To that end I shall delay no longer. May I present the prompt word for this week’s edition of Six Sentence Stories. The challenge: to write a story, a poem, the next scene from a work in progress, a slice of “soc” otherwise known as stream of consciousness, or perhaps a memoir-ette. Write your piece in 6 and only 6 sentences, return here midweek, link and experience an enjoyable few days of wandering worlds. The rewards of doing so? Well, guess you’ll have to discover those for yourself. Have an enjoyable, productive week!
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: JUNK
“The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possible can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.” – Kurt Vonnegut
That’s one hell of a quote.
(* I remember you
You told the stories of your scars*)

I feel suitably roused by the tune, Denise. This week’s word… 🤔 – that’s where that quote comes in.

Guaranteed ear worm, Chris. My apologies 😆
If I’m interpreting correctly…I don’t believe it!
