Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
What is it about the end of the Gregorian calendar year it looms larger than an outsized Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon? I imagine the feeling is similar for those who celebrate the “New Year” during different calendar months. There’s a beginning; there’s an end. The emotional content attached (feel about it) is different for each of us. As fate would have it, this edition of SSS straddles both the outgoing year and the incoming year. How perfect is that?! Let us end/begin the year writing precisely 6 sentences. The menu at this establishment is à la carte therefore, 6 sentences may be offered as fantasy or fiction, humor or self reflection, perhaps a splash of mystery or mayhem, historical semi-fiction, poetry, or soc. Creative expression. We have it. Let’s share it.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: CHARM
“The arrangement of the words matters, and the arrangement you want can be found in the picture in your mind. The picture dictates the arrangement. The picture dictates whether this will be a sentence with or without clauses, a sentence that ends hard or a dying-fall sentence, long or short, active or passive.” – Joan Didion
A charming way to end the year and greet the new with hope!
