Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
What day is this??! I was fortunate enough this past weekend, if only for a brief time, to not know what day of the week it was. Since Monday was a holiday, I went into the office Saturday, after all, I’d still have Sunday and Monday off. See where this is going? So of course Sunday was, busy, busy. Was getting late in the day and I still hadn’t run a particular errand. Googled for store hours. Wait. What? They close at 6 pm? I was puzzled. Weird. Why would they close so early on a Saturday night? Exactly. For a brief moment, I’d experienced Saturday, it was Saturday for me, not the actual day, Sunday. Pretty darn cool. There’s that word again. But no. Not today. Today, I will say only this: there is a link below, in the blue box that says “Click here to Enter”. It’s a gateway. To another place, another time. It is anywhere and everywhere. In 6 and only 6 sentences.
I dare you to discover who, what, where, and when, 6 sentences can be. Write a Six.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link the URL to your post via the blue “Click here to enter” button below.
Link is live Wednesday 6:00 PM, ends way late Saturday night!
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: MUNDANE
“We are of opinion that instead of letting books grow moldy behind an iron grating, far from the vulgar gaze, it is better to let them wear out by being read.” – Jules Verne, Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864)
YES, wearing out books says so much!!

Hello, Denise, my name’s Tom, and I’m joining your Six Sentence Stories today; inspired in part by Chris Hall’s weekly posts. I’m not sure whether my stories will be weekly – or my posts for that matter! – but I’ll try as often as I can to take part. Thank you for the challenge! 🙂
