Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Damn! The confluence of thoughts in my head at this moment race towards a checkered flag even before the race has begun! Words were lining up, idling in lane when an errant click on the Wakefield Doctrine TToT’s first music vid, Bone, Thugs and Harmony, set engines revving.  “Confluence” as defined by Merriam & Webster: “a coming or flowing together, meeting, or gathering at one point”. Alright already, I’ll spit it out. In a nutshell, I’ve had a reminder to “listen to my body”.  Imo, body knows first, then mind. How does this relate to writing? There are times we sit down to write, specific idea/goal/objective in mind, but then find the keys tapping out unanticipated letters, words, sentences. So what do you do? 1) run with it or 2) stop and resume the set path/objective you began with when you sat down to write? I’ve no doubt we’ve shared both experiences. It’s part of the writing process, n’est pas? We put word pieces together to form a whole. The final outcome not always certain, but sometimes it is. Today, you are invited to participate in the blog hop, Six Sentence Stories. Every Sunday, a word is offered to be used in a story or a poem, a scene from your serial or a moment of soc. Take the word and run with it or, consider it and deliberately write around it. Doesn’t matter. What does matter is you write your story in precisely 6 sentences, return to the ‘Edge beginning Wednesday evening and link your SSS. You’ll find it to be an amazingly enjoyable endeavour that will frustrate and delight, infuriate and reward you. Did I mention you’d be in the company of the most welcoming group of writers any side of the planet? Bonus. See! My intention was to write a short post today. In fact, I set out with quite a different set of words in mind. Pare it down? Not today, lol. Have an excellent week!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

PROMPT WORDMATCH

Poetry is what in a poem makes you laugh, cry, prickle, be silent, makes your toenails twinkle, makes you want to do this or that or nothing, makes you know that you are alone in the unknown world, that your bliss and suffering is forever shared and forever all your own”. – Dylan Thomas

Oh this is too funny, and TOO GOOD! I was praying (& Bedelia was praying) for a word that would fire up the next episode–and you’ve surely delivered it. A million thanks, Denise–let’s see what I can do with it! Blessings to you–have a great week!💖 Interesting Dylan Thomas quote too!

Aha! Best go and gather the kindling, then see what Bedelia has in mind for the next episode. Light it up!
Thank you, Zelda and for you as well.

      I love Dylan Thomas.
      Who else could write:
      This side of the truth,
You may not see, my son,
      King of your blue eyes
In the blinding country of youth…

Still pondering on the (1) and (2). Mostly (1) I’d say, but beware the deepening plot holes😉
