Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Oh, my gosh… a little after 2:00 pm 2:30pm in Northern Virginia and I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. But I’ll get to “blunch” eventually. First things first. This day begins a new week. A week I hope for you is nothing but good, inspirational – in essence, all that you would have it be. With all manner of story ideas tapping you on the shoulder, new characters (or not)  whispering secrets, confiding in recent discoveries or heck, grabbing you by the hand and taking you on a trip to undiscovered territories. Writing is magical. Writing brings humor and laughter, provides release of energy both positive and negative, it is a gateway to wherever we want, need or wish to be. I am honored to host the Six Sentence Story Blog Hop and offer opportunity to share your stories, your poetry, your scenes and socs with the world. The SSS is a story party, a social network, heck a giant blank storyboard upon which to pin your creative selves. In exactly, exactly 6 sentences. For that is the challenge offered. Not only is Six Sentence Stories an entertaining activity in which to engage, it is a huge learning opportunity for the plethora of reading material made available each week. For that, I truly am thankful. Write this week. Show us. Open the door, the gate, the barn door….this is your place.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

Writing comes down to momentum. It’s like surfing—getting up on the board and staying up as long as you can.” – Michael Connelly

Oooh, I like the surfing analogy…not that I’ve ever surfed, understand, but life is like that…just trying to stay up, not wipe out in the beautiful Pipeline! How I’ll use the prompt word is a mystery…maybe Finn can take this one! Blessings to you Denise–I for one LOVE that you’re our hostess each week, you’ve added a lovely richness to my writing life…and my real life too! ❤

Neither have I, Zelda but you’re right! Life is kind of like that.
I’ve no doubt you will have another awesome excerpt from Finn and Bedelia 😊
Big Ditto on life enhancement! When I took the SSS torch from Zoe aka Ivy Walker, I had no idea what to expect.
Today, I can say my life is immeasurably richer for it. Thank you ❤️

Oh my, I had no idea that Zoe/Ivy Walker used to host SSS…maybe I’ve just forgotten (the years blur with time/ageing 🙂 ). Anyhoo, all of us more-or-less “regulars” are having a blast 🙂 See you Thursday!!

Surfing??! Mmm. Is that a shark I see from the Ferry on the R. Mersey?🦈 Actually, maybe it is a shark of a kind…

Perhaps for the great Michael Connelly writing is like surfing, but for those mere mortals among us it’s more like swimming in heavy seas, struggling to find direction and trying desperately to stay afloat!

You’ve got no argument on that one from me, C.E. Sounds about right!
