Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
I say with confidence, there is not a one among us would disagree with Mr. Thackeray. It is that very thing that prompts us to pick up a pen, sit at our computers/laptops or hold the stylus over the screen of our phones. The act of writing often sets in motion a stream of: profound thought, magical poetry, sheer garbage of monumental piles or ditty upon ditty upon ditty. Point being until a first word is lain upon the vellum, typed across the monitor screen, we deprive ourselves of the possibility for that word to guide us to destinations we may not have otherwise consciously traveled. For how could we? You know, when I get all soap boxy like this, I speak loudest to my own self. To pick up the pen once again. What do you say? Type or write the prompt word below; see where it leads. Return to the ‘Edge beginning Wednesday evening with 6 and only 6 sentences of whoever, whatever, wherever; let’s explore together. Six Sentence Stories, where creativity roams free. Writing implements at the ready? Good. Let’s begin…

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

PROMPT WORDCONFETTI

There are a thousand thoughts lying within a man that he does not know till he takes up the pen to write.”  – William Makepeace Thackeray

I really, on the first read-through (aka Evelyn scan) of your quote, thought he said, “A thousand lies within the man…”
