Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
First things first. Thank you, Abbie for this week’s prompt word. And thank you Spira, D. Avery, and Staarlz for your suggestions. We are all for writer participation here at the Six, but then you guys already know that. I won’t go on and on about it too much…(yes, there’s a “but” coming, lol) but truly, I appreciate and enjoy the conversations across our blogs. A few of you have asked how I choose the quote for each post. Often, I go in search of, and if I like it, either use it that day or copy it into a word doc to use at a later date. Today’s quote was one already saved and from the looks of it, sometime in 2021. It’s been that long since I’ve used a quote from Mr. Kurosawa. I can’t tell you why, but something about this one resonated. On a level, for me, I feel worth investigating. However it manifests for you, may you find inspiration. Perhaps inspiration for a Six Sentence Story. It’s what we do here. Dream and create stories written in exactly 6 sentences. Please join us this week and share a story, some poetry, the next installment of your serial or even a memoir-ette in 6 sentences. We hope to see all of you back here again in a few days. Enjoy your week. Read, if just a little. Write, just a little bit more. Today. It’s yours. Enjoy.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: STROKE
“Man is a genius when he is dreaming.”― Akira Kurosawa
Akira to the rescue!
Let me sprinkle some Khalil on top:
“…the past is nothing but a memento of the present and tomorrow a dream of the now”

Love your posts, quotes (nice to know I’m a genius sometimes😉)–and “stroke” is a mighty fine prompt. Have a blessed week, Denise!

It is a challenging word however, I believe it more versatile than we may initially think.

I thought of stroke as a noun or a verb. There are lots can be written about.

An excellent prompt from Abbie.
The quote: this writer is a genius when she’s dreaming, sadly few of those brilliant ideas stand up to the scrutiny of the morning!😂

If they even stick around long enough to be scrutinised, hmm…

Not only a genius, but a sporting hero, and a rebel leader of unlimited courage and resourcefulness.
Not to mention…
Ah well, nobody’s perfect.
