Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
If you’ve skipped to the bottom of the page for this week’s prompt word – I applaud your enthusiasm! If you’ve yet to….oh, heck. Who’s not going to notice Calvin and Hobbes standing in for the usual writer’s quote. But I had to 😆. No, not everyone is a fan of C & H, yet I guarantee there’s a little bit in this strip that rings true for all of us. So often we pressure ourselves without realizing it. Engaging in a writing challenge such as Six Sentence Stories, while a challenge, is also opportunity to have fun, engage with others and explore the realm that is creative writing. Are there Sixes written that are serious and heart wrenching? Yes. Are there Sixes written that make us laugh out loud? Absolutely. Are there Sixes that inspire, sooth and motivate? Without question. This community, your community that is Six Sentence Stories, is a venue to visit and set a spell. And if you decide you want to share a poem or piece of flash fiction, an introspection or next chapter in your book and yes, even an soc, write it up in exactly 6 sentences, and link it here, at GirlieOnTheEdge, beginning Wednesday. We’ll all be here. Read you soon! Have a most excellent week 😎

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

What is this, Virtual Outrage Sunday!?!! “No, not everyone is a fan of C & H

I hope, for their sake, I never encounter such a comically, philosophically, ontologically deficient person. My scorn and disdain (and disregard) would be so scathing they would stop, reconsider their lives and maybe ask for a second chance to act like an apex predator.

You make me laugh, sir! Why, yes, yes it can be “Virtual Outrage Sunday”!!!!!
(I added 2 more exclamation points for you. 3 were clearly insufficient 🤣)

Thank you for your comment, Clark.

Calvin and Hobbes speak the truth, Denise… just write and see where you end up!
We’re back with the supervillains this week over at my six – they manage to fill the sixes quite nicely!

I’m with you, Tom! Although, I find it isn’t always that easy but hey, it’s what we do and besides, I can’t even think of not trying.
      Yay! for supervillians 😀

🙂 Well, I can, but I try not to! (Think of not trying, that is!)
I like the writing, but I’d love to be able to write in a more immersive style. Six sentences probably wouldn’t be enough for that… but just imagine…! 😀

As someone who is frequently misunderstood due to my HFQ* I empathise strongly with the little chap above.
