Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Tell me you’ve had those days you’re awakened and you would swear the calendar jumped to December 25th?! It is such a day for this, your humble host and moderator of Six Sentence Stories. Although I feel the tugging on my arm sleeve, I resist the notion to succumb to “oh, my gosh, I’m so behind!… I have to….look at the time!!!!”. Yet, I do so. Today is Sunday. It is the day I write this post for you, inviting you to participate in an event that challenges us. How? you ask? The first, and most obvious, is we ask you to write a story, a poem, a scene, a “ponderance” aka soc, and do so in no more than, no less than, 6 sentences. We challenge you to explore your imagination, your surroundings, your interactions and weave a tale using a specific word. We then invite everyone to walk along a path littered with am amazing sundry of people and places, emotions, events, timelines and telltales. We are Six Sentence Stories. We are a growing community. We write. We share. We become together. You may resist that notion, yet I stand before the world and say it is so. Please join us this week for Six Sentence Stories.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: FORM
“Don’t labor over a little cameo work in which every word is to be perfect. Technique holds a reader from sentence to sentence, but only content will stay in his mind.”
– Joyce Carol Oates
“We are Six Sentence Stories. We are a growing community. We write. We share. We become together. You may resist that notion, yet I stand before the world and say it is so. “…
…Right behind you, milady.

“Form” eh?
Maybe I’ll have a rudimentary website finished so I can participate soon!
I had intended for that all to happen in May but life keeps sending me on roller coaster rides. But I will arrive at platform 9 and 3/4 soon enough. Haha.
