Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Prompt Word!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
I awakened in the middle of the night. Without solicitation, today’s post began to write itself. I repeated the opening words many times thinking hey, this is good – will I remember them when I get up? Sleepy me answered “yes”. Tiny voice in the back row of my brain answered unequivocally, “no!” Words. We must write them when we have them. We must also write them when we don’t “have them”. Is it not true, the more we write, words that seemingly drop like candy from the sky when we least expect them, are more accessible? The one tool so very helpful keeping my toe in the writing waters, is this blog hop, Six Sentence Stories. Seeking structure, plain and simple? Foraging for a writing challenge that is (relatively, lol) easy? Look no further. We, are Six Sentence Stories. If you get stumped for an idea or searching for some inspiration, all we need do is read each other’s Sixes. We show each other how it’s done. Every week. Please join us. 6 sentences exactly opens the door. Put your ticket on the table, and set for a spell and a few reads. Fiction, non-fiction. Poetry, prose. Historical, biographical fiction. Humor and soc. It’s all here. Because you’re all here. Write often and remember, words are waiting to drop like candy from the sky.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

PROMPT WORDSTRUCTURE

“…Song writing is about getting the demon out of me. It’s like being possessed. You try to go to sleep, but the song won’t let you. So you have to get up and make it into something, and then you’re allowed sleep.” – John Lennon

To paraphrase Isaac Asimov…If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn’t brood. I’d type a little faster my Six Sentences!
