Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
Hey, so I’m beginning this post at 11:54 pm Tuesday. I’ve got Chet Baker’s “Almost Blue” playing on the ‘Tube, an open box of Post Golden Crisp cereal leaning against a pillow. As I reach for another handful, clock reads 11:56. You know I always write these posts “day of”. That is, Sunday’s prompt word post, on Sunday, Wednesday’s link post opening the Six, on Wednesdays. Tonight, got a variation goin’ on, not unlike a jazz band playing in an after hours bar – it’s only too late to play one more if the sun has come up. Midnight! It’s officially Wednesday. I’d better get my fingers moving and my body to sleep. Funny, the prompt word’s been buzzing in my brain all week. See, I decided recently, I need some, lol. Don’t worry, I’m not totally without it -we have Six Sentence Stories! Write exactly 6 sentences of a story or poem or episode or scene, genre of your choice, then stop in and link it via the Inlinkz. That’s got this week’s prompt word written all over it! Ya know, I’m a bit sleepy, gonna head out. Doors open usual time, don’t close until late night Saturday. Stop in, we’ll leave the light on.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link the URL to your post via the blue “Click here to enter” button below.
Link is live Wednesday 6:00 PM, ends way late Saturday night!
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
