Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
We are on the cusp of a New Year. In fact, this is the last Six Sentence Stories for 2022. How cool this week’s SSS hop ends 11:55 pm EST, Saturday, December 31, 2022! We couldn’t have planned that if we tried, lol. Confession: I’ve not been a huge proponent of “plans” in the short term however, I’ve decided, moving forward, to take a more proactive attitude towards the “planning” thing. My goal? To achieve optimum efficiency at least 50% of the time. No, don’t laugh! Isn’t the first step of consistently achieving short term goals the setting of a goal we know to have a high probability of success? Many of you write for multiple challenges every week. To you, I say with gusto, “Bravo!”. If circumstance or time is a challenge to writing, consider writing for this blog hop. Not complicated, yet not necessarily easy, you’re tasked with writing a micro-story or piece of poetry or next scene in your serial, in precisely and only, 6 sentences. Challenge met, goal achieved. Six Sentence Stories. It can open the door to so much more. Shall we?
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: SURPRISE
“Read aloud. And not just your own work. Read good writing aloud. Listen to the sound the words make.” – Unknown
Happy New Year, Denise.
I haven’t written a post for this week, but just want to say thanks for hosting this challenge.
