Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Did you enjoy writing this past week? Hopefully, your answer is a resounding “yes!”, yet I’m certain there are some of us may be more “not exactly“. As writers, we experience moments when pen and paper are blazing on fire; at other times, seems the #2 lead drags across the legal pad ripping up the paper. Through it all, we still enjoy and find satisfaction in writing. Six Sentence Stories is a venue in which to write. A practice tool to lessen the number of ripped pages. It is a community where we share the product of our imaginings, offer encouragement to our fellow writers. The challenge of Six Sentence Stories is to write a story in exactly 6 sentences. Genre of choice. Poetry is welcome as is the next scene in your serial story. Please join us by opening your giant word box, writing a Six and returning to the ‘Edge to link it, beginning Wednesday. (yes, the trash can will be at the door for the ripped and torn drafts)
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: MESS
“The ability of writers to imagine what is not the self, to familiarize the strange and mystify the familiar, is the test of their power.” – Toni Morrison
Inspiring post, and what a wonderful quote, Denise! Thank you. 🙂

Mystify the familiar… I like the sound of that, Denise. (Or do I? Hehehe – just trying to add a bit of mystery there – and failing!)

Ripped pages be damned, trying to cast things in a different-than-usual is where the fun’s at!
