Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
‘Morning kids. When many of you read this, I will be driving 95 South, away from the homeland. Regardless of the reason, road trips, aka driving away from one’s normal environs usually offers us the chance to hit a reset button; look at life from a slightly different perspective. When we pick up the pen, do we not do this very thing? Explore strange and not so strange landscapes, meet new people (creatures/beings), encounter challenges and surprises, make discoveries about self and others? Look through the lens of an alternate perspective? It’s Sunday evening (for a little bit longer) and way beyond 1/2 past my bedtime so I shall take my leave and merely say: join us this week. Write 6 and only 6 sentences and introduce us to someone new, show us something different, take us somewhere else. We are Six Sentence Stories. Let’s hit literary road, meet back here in a few days and read just where we’ve been.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: BLUR
“I do not write for a select minority, which means nothing to me, nor for that adulated platonic entity known as “The Masses”. Both abstractions, so dear to the demagogue, I disbelieve in. I write for myself and for my friends, and I write to ease the passing of time.
– Jorge Luis Borges

Incredibly beautiful poetry Mr. Borges wrote for himself and his friends.
Thank you, Nick.

Today has been a huge mixed up blur for me, Denise. Oh, the time has flown by, and my computer issues resolved, leaving me to blur around doing four things at once to catch up to where I was before said computer issues. Luckily, like Jorge, writing also helped me with part of the time passing… an escape within an escape within an escape!
Enjoy your trip!

Computer issues resolved is a fair trade off for all the blurs, yes?!
Don’t get me going on the multi-tasking, Tom, lol
Good for you! I’m glad writing provided an escape x3.
Thank you!

Computer issues have spilled over into today… although, they could perhaps really be ‘me’ issues. Not that I’d ever say…
