Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Greetings all. Where do I begin! Gratitude. I give thanks we are at that time of the year when daylight shines for an additional 1 hour. Yes-s-s. That being said, my body was wondering why it wanted to sleep longer. A glance at my phone confirmed. A groggy “that’s right” answered. We’ve known one another long enough for me to know, you know, where I’m headed in today’s post – How will having an additional 1 hour of daylight affect us, our productivity, our state of mind, our writing. I say, let’s explore these things
write right now, at the start of this, Daylight Savings Time, emphasis on saving. Consider this place we’ve built, Six Sentence Stories. Community and camaraderie. Where talent meets the pen and adventures begin. In the requisite 6 sentences. If you believe this an impossible undertaking or a possible cakewalk, I offer the challenge to find out – write a Six Sentence Story.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀
PROMPT WORD: SILK
“The gift of writing is to be self-forgetful, to get a surge of inner life or inner supply or unexpected sense of empowerment, to be afloat, to be out of yourself.” – Seamus Heaney
What does it mean to “link up”? How does one go about doing so?

Hi, Nova. Thank you for asking!
As you see, on Sunday I offer everyone a prompt word to use to write the current week’s Six Sentence Story. The hop “unofficially” begins Wednesday evening, EST. At the end of Wednesday’s post, there’s a link created by Inlinkz. By clicking the Inlinkz link, you’re then taken to a second page where you link the URL to the Six Sentence Story you wrote. The 2nd page contains everyone’s URL to their Six. That’s where everyone can find each other’s Six Sentence Story. There are instructions on both the Sunday post and Wednesday post. Hope to read you soon!
