Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
Oh, the rewrites. Such the life of a writer, non? Even with a thing as simple as Thursday’s Six Sentence Story Link Up! post, there are rewrites. Today for example. Started to write the post last night. It was late so made the decision to finish in morning. After 5 hours of sleep, I found the words I’d written last night no longer resonated. No, coffee has not kicked in; at this point, not sure it will, lol. “Resonate.” I like that word. It feels and sounds good when you say it. Words may be just words, they are what they are. Yet, there are words that imply, tease, cajole, shock, impress and when grouped together, have the ability to induce wonder and awe, cause laughter and joy, elicit sadness and tears. We are Six Sentences Stories. We write words in groups of sentences. 6 to be precise. We tell stories, write poetry, muse out loud and otherwise entertain in no more and no less than 6 sentences. The invite’s out. Let’s write a Six Sentence Story.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
