Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
What are we without imagination? Without humor? Can you even picture that? (a bit frightening, isn’t it, lol) We, who hang at the Six Sentence Café and Bistro, who enjoy chatting up our Sixes with the other patrons or utilizing the stage for the occasional performance art piece, we, are writers who enjoy creative challenge. It’s why we return each week with Six Sentence Story in hand. Our challenge: write a story, a poem, the next scene in our book or serial, or perhaps an amusing tale for the ages and write it in precisely 6 sentences. Repeat after me – “6 sentences. No more. No less.” If you’ve only recently stumbled across this establishment, welcome! House rules are posted below. For the regulars, well, you know what to do. Doors open this evening 6:00 PM EST US.
Read you soon 🙂

PROMPT WORD: SHELTER
“Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humour to console him for what he is.” – Francis Bacon
