Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Thank you everyone for another splendid week of stories and poetry and continuing serial scenes! Fabulous! Many thanks to those of you who may not have written a Six but drop in for a read. All who wander these halls contribute to the community that is Six Sentence Stories. Damn, I’m getting all gushy here and heaven forbid Girlie gets all gushy. We begin another week. Challenges abound. Here, in the hallowed halls of everywhere and anywhere, we gather once more to share our stories, poetry, memory lanes, current serial installment and “socs”. So let’s go out there, into the world(s) and write. Write 6 sentences, return here later this week. Let’s share where we’ve been.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…

It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
We’ve all done it. Sit and type with our eyes closed. Kinda of cool. To put a little spin on it so it’s not so “be the keys”, put on a little music and type to the rhythm. It is, my friends, a most delightful challenge. Ha! You saw it coming, didn’t you! The segue. Thing is, I didn’t. But as long as I’m here, I’ll take it. This is the Six Sentence Story Blog Hop. If you’re new around these parts, the SSS is a weekly blog hop/writing challenge. Sunday I give you a word to use. Take it, mold it, fit it into a piece of flash fiction, use it in a bit of poetry or perhaps the next scene from your serial story. Btw, stories can be true to life, not just fiction. The one requirement: your piece must be written in exactly 6 sentences. When you’ve got those 6 sentences written, come back here ’round 6:00 pm EST US and link it up per the instructions below. After that, kick your feet up and enjoy making the rounds. Read you soon!

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
As Mr. White (no, not that Mr. White) advised, “hang on to your hat”. Partial quote, applicable nonetheless. Why? Because we have returned for another round of Six Sentence Stories! Look it up in the dictionary -“Six Sentence Story Blog Hop. Guaranteed to challenge and delight writers of all ages and experience“. What do you say we dig into the toy box of our brains and pull something out to play with? Your choice as to format, genre, true life or otherwise. The only requirement? Story, poem, scene, etc. must be written in exactly 6 sentences. Not much more I can add to that. But you can right here on Thursday, (Wednesday evening for the early birds) by linking your Six Sentence Story. Look up, look out and have a most excellent week!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

PROMPT WORD DEAL

I believe in the power of the imagination to remake the world, to release the truth within us, to hold back the night, to transcend death, to charm motorways, to ingratiate ourselves with birds, to enlist the confidences of madmen.– J. G. Ballard
