It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
I don’t even have to ask – you had a similar reaction reading Brenda’s quote on Sunday’s post – “…prime it with a little solitude and idleness.” Uh huh. Sure, no prob! Yet sometimes it is. Oh, I’ve no doubt some of you could write in the middle of a hurricane or walking through the city and to be honest, there have been times those same type conditions have inspired me with words. For the most part though, seems as if a little Huck Finn time is what we all need to get the creative juices flowing. Wherever, however you’re inspired, we’d love to read of your adventures, of your character’s adventures or reminisces in the form of 6, and precisely 6, sentences. That’s what we do here. Tell stories, in 6 sentences. No more, no less. Please join us for story time here, at GirlieOnTheEdge.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

Link is live Wednesday through Saturday night late!

I used to dig in the garden, and there isn’t anything fantastic or ultradimensional about crab grass… unless you are a SF writer, in which case, pretty soon you’re viewing crabgrass with suspicion. What are its real motives? And who sent it in the first place? The question I always found myself asking was, ‘What is it, really?’” – Philip K. Dick

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories! Thank you everyone, for a fun hop last week! What I love about this hop (stop me if you’ve heard this before) is the variety. If I may quote Mr. Cowper in his poem “The Task”  “Variety is the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor.” No truer words. And here, at this weekly writing challenge, Six Sentence Stories, it’s all about the broad range of  subject matter, writing styles and presentation. What do you think? Ready to go at it again? 😀 Sure you have time…all you need do is write (then link per below) a story or poem or excerpt from your soon to be famous wip, written in 6, and only Six sentences and bingo! You’re ready to link up and open the door to new adventures 🙂
Have a most excellent week and we’ll read you soon!

Rules of the hop:

And of course, in my writing, there is the constant theme of music, love of, preoccupation with, music. Music is the single thread making my life into a coherence.” – Philip K. Dick
