It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and the event known as Six Sentence Stories! “Event?” you ask? Check it out for your own self! The 411 in a nutshell:  Sundays, I publish a post providing everyone the prompt word to use in a 6 sentence story, poem or snippet from a wip. Wednesday evening, in deference to our friends living in the future, I publish the post containing the Inlinkz link-a-ma-jig, the magical doorway leading to a single page where everyone’s story (everyone’s thumbnail link to their story, to be factual) appears. Easy peasy 😀 Link your Six, then click on everyone else’s Six and enjoy the ride! If you’re an early bird like Mimi, Susan and Pratihba were last week, don’t forget to come back later in the day/week to check out additional Sixes. It’s fabulously fun, fashionably forward and an all around enjoyable write. Hope you’ll join us with your Six Sentence Story. Read you soon!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Come back here Thursday through Tuesday, link your post…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 🙂

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome, benvenuto, स्वागत हे, bem vinda to GirlieOnTheEdge. Today is the day of the week when I post the prompt word for the upcoming edition of Thursday’s Six Sentence Stories. I’m reminded, amidst the hustle and bustle of this time of year, how easily we can succumb to the pressure and stress of expectations. Expectations of family, work, friends….it can be overwhelming at times, non? So what can we do about the associative stress of the “season”? Write! What better catharsis than typing words until people emerge, a story line develops and you suddenly find yourself taking dictation from the characters inhabiting your imagination 🙂 Have a most excellent week! Read you soon!
