It’s Thursday’s Six Sentence Story Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
What happens when you don’t trust your gut? Rhetorical question as I’d wager there isn’t a one of us doesn’t know the answer. As writers, the memory of those experiences turn out to be an asset. To a certain degree, experience informs our storytelling; imagination filling in the rest. So what happens when we don’t reach for the scissors, don’t experiment with sentence/paragraph placement? When we like too much what we’ve written? Yup, I’m talking initial first drafts. If we’re lucky enough to catch a wave of spontaneous inspiration, wax the board and go, baby! Then, as we bask on the shoreline, exhilaration receding, reflect. Then keep writing. Time. Creative writing, for the most part, is a function of time. As we continue to polish our skills, we realize there is something to structure and “rules”. They are available tools to use as directed, or not. Once again, we are invited this week to participate in the experience that is Six Sentence Stories. Beginning, middle, end. In exactly 6 sentences. It’s time to dive into the water, swim out as far as you can. Nothing better than floating in a sea of words is there?

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
