Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
It’s 6:30 am and 68 degrees as I type this. That’s 2 “6” reminders already. Could it be Wednesday? Indeed it is. The day of the evening when the doors open to that most mysterious of writing challenges, Six Sentence Stories. Yeah, I know. You’re scratching your heads as to the use of the word “mysterious”. On face value, it’s quite apparent what this blog hop is about. Write exactly 6 sentences of fiction or non-fiction, poetry, new scene in the next chapter or allow your mind to have it’s way with a stream ‘o consciousness. See! I already appear to have engaged in a smidge of “soc”. Guess I don’t have to tell you, I’ll be having one of those days. Who knows. Perhaps there will be a Six Sentence Story waiting to pop into my head at work. Don’t know about you, but words sometimes surprise me at the least opportune moments. No matter. You find you’ve got a story percolating, turn up the heat, see where it leads. If you discover you have precisely 6 sentences, head back over to the ‘Edge. Then, let’s sit and have a cup.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
