It’s Thursday’s Six Sentence Story Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
What does it take. To get a message from the Universe. Had occasion for an eye-opener aka bit ‘o enlightenment. All it took was the internet going down at my apartment last night. The specific events that unfolded upon my return home from work and my subsequent attempts at facilitating a remote fix were for naught. No wide world webbing was going to happen for this Girlie. Not happy, I quickly changed gears, attitude adjusted even as I realized flying by the seat of my pants seemed to be the order for my Wednesday. Aside from the “life lessons” implicit in the unanticipated loss of internet, it reminded me about basic story writing – setting, inciting incident, character(s), conflict, resolution, etc.. Needless to say I had a clear and present reminder there truly are stories all around us. Find a hook, throw it out into the pond, see what or who bites…write. Tonight, we open the doors to Six Sentence Stories, a collection of fairytales and tribulations, poetry and musings, mystery and mayhem, next scenes and soc. Write them in exactly 6 sentences and your ticket is punched.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

      Yes, same word.
My Sunday post gives everyone the prompt word to use for the current week’s Six Sentence Story.
