Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
I found myself stuck on another Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris duet, the kind of stuck you continue to hit “repeat”. Why? Was it any one thing in particular? Tone, timbre, arrangement, vocals, lyrics? Or was it simply that it stirred something in an unreachable part of me. Books and authors have this same affect on us. We have our favorites, continuing to add to our list. And what in the interim do we do? We write. The “why” is as varied as the individual snowflakes of a raging blizzard. Millions of six sided prisms falling, there is not a one exactly like the other. Here, at Six Sentence Stories, beginning this evening, there will begin to fall exactly 6 sentences of fiction, fantasy and fable. There will be precisely 6 lines of poetry or next scene in wip. How freaking awesome is that! A storm of sentences are brewing. Better break out the umbrellas.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.

Is it bad of me that I started hearing The Weathergirls’ “It’s Raining Men” as I read this?
