Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Spiders, time and late morning coffee. Kind of tells you what my wake up mind was all about a little earlier. In fact, I only just poured my second cup of go-go juice. Which leaves us to account for the other 2 – “spiders” and “time”. But do you really want to know? Heck, no! What it really does is offer you and me opportunity to write a story. A very short story. A Six Sentence Story. For this, the Six Sentence Story Blog Hop, is a venue for sharing stories and poetry, next scenes and such, in exactly 6 sentences. You may have noticed there are some recent newcomers to the SSS; to you, I have 2 words, welcome and creative punctuation! Hang out at Six Sentence Stories long enough and I guarantee you’ll catch on mighty quick as to the second of those “things”. And, lest I leave it out, conversation. The ones that evolve in our comments to one another. A source of encouragement, they’re also a place in which ideas often have opportunity to germinate. We are a community of individuals with one thing in common. Writing.
Let’s get about it, eh?
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers.
PROMPT WORD: LIFT
“Everybody gets told to write about what they know. The trouble with many of us is that at the earlier stages of life we think we know everything- or to put it more usefully, we are often unaware of the scope and structure of our ignorance.” – Thomas Pynchon
