Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Six Sentence Stories! Why do we write? Why do we participate in this marvelous virtual world of the inter-webs? I will hazard a guess that for most of us, it’s to leave a creative mark on the world, to share of our creative selves. In that spirit, I invite you to join us this week in an exercise that challenges us to tell a story, write a poem, share an excerpt from a current work in progress and do so in 6 and only 6 sentences. It’s fun, it’s addictive, it’s Six Sentence Stories. You know what to do. If not, the rules are written below. Read you soon!
Rules of the hop:

PROMPT WORD: ABSENT
“You write in order to change the world, knowing perfectly well that you probably can’t but also knowing that literature is indispensable to the world… The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even but a millimeter the way people look at reality, then you can change it.” – James Baldwin
