It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
Well, well, welly…. Change? I can roll with most anything. Most of the time. The folks at WordPress tried to get me to update and use Block Editor. No thank you. Right TVTA? 😀 Now they’re at it again having converted everything in my dashboard to the block party format but hey, enough of the silly complaining. Get over it you say? Absolutely! Give me a few minutes though – or at least until I finish this post because….this post isn’t about me. It’s about all of you! And this place, GirlieOnTheEdge, the portal to Six Sentence Stories. A realm where 6 and only 6 sentence stories, poetry and  fictional, fantastical and fabulous tales roam. A place of community and creativity. We’d love to read you.

Hi, Denise. Re your WP issue, you can always revert to the Classic editor. Click the plus sign next to the WP logo. The first set of options in the dropdown is TEXT and at the end of the second row you will see Classic. Click on that and away you go. Hope that helps.

      Hi Doug. That’s encouraging, thanks!
Not seeing the logo in my dashboard – the new and improved one as of this afternoon (not!). I’ll continue my search. What do you think about plug ins? I googled and saw something about adding the Classic Editor via plug in.

Sorry, don’t know anything about the plug in. If you go into your ‘Write’ page, you should see what I am talking about.

Hey Denise! I wish I could help with the block format but I can barely figure out how to use my own blog

Hi Zoe! Oh my gosh, I was not prepared for this today, lol. Appreciate the offer 🙂
I’m thrilled you wrote a Six!

The block editor is a bit of a pain. I got used to it… eventually. Why can’t things be left alone?? (The older person speaketh).

I am resisting the Block on principle Chris, lol. Not a fan of “forced changed”. Apparently, Classic Editor is available until 2022. Doug gave me some guidance but it wasn’t working on my “new and improved” dashboard. I believe the only way I can get CE back is if I upgrade my account for a mere $300 a year. I can’t even add the plug in for CE unless I upgrade. I believe I shall join you in the “older person category” 😆 (or, it’s time to get back on the tech track 😉)

If the enhancement and upgrate of WP is user friendly, why not! But it is without sophistication! I rated the app 3 stars when they change over to block editor. They got back to me with unsatisfactory recommendation, and the app kept crashing in the last 2 days, I rayed them 2 stars. I barely complaint about things as a general principle. This! Is an exception to me.
