Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
Six Sentence Stories, the blog hop. 3.5 days each week, stories and poetry, serial episodes and soc are served like hors d’oeuvre at a BYOS dinner party 😀 We’ve all attended at least one dinner party in our lives, right? Even if we initially didn’t want to attend, once there, it’s usually kind of fun. Invariably, we run into someone we know, definitely make the acquaintance of new people, engage in conversation, network….in short, enjoy an entertaining few hours. Think of Six Sentence Stories as open invitation to the largest dinner party on the planet. Everything is served from fiction to fantasy, drama to mystery, comedy and collaboration, poetry and soc. The menu is comprehensive yet uncomplicated. 6 and only 6 sentences are served. Write a piece in this requisite number of sentences, bring it by beginning Wednesday evening and we’ll place it on the buffet for all to enjoy. *man, what’s up with the food metaphor? she not eat breakfast yet?…*
We hope you’ll join us this week!
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link up at Wednesday’s post. Link goes live at 6:00 pm through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

I knew I’d miss the deadline for last week’s link up… on one of the days, I was about to dive in and got waylaid… or, you could say I found myself taking a detour! 🙄😊
I’ll try again this week – my post is done and published, and hopefully it’ll not be as hectic this week for the link… we shall see…

Never mind breakfast, I’m looking forward to ‘the largest dinner party on the planet’. What a splendid image (rather how I imagine heaven to be).

(“…because he’s so quotable*)
“ …a conversation with the owner, Lou Ceasare, “Yeah, I tried once to, you know, add some class to the joint, do a brunch for the weekend crowd, fricken reglars drank the fricken Sterno out from under the chafing dishes, had to bend a couple of… things, to get them to stop,” his laughter, guarded by an expression as lethal as the Sterno, allowed me to know what a Great White shark would sound like, laughing.”
* no, not censored. Lou has, in the past, evidenced a certain innate courtesy, especially around older people (lol not ceayr… not at all)
