It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
Last night, I’d decided I could write this post while music was playing, because sometimes it helps, right? Writing to music. Not so last evening. Silence. I will concede there are times when words demand silence in order to be heard in their various arrangements, often with creative use of punctuation. And, there are times when characters demand silence in hopes their voices will carry above the din of the day and given equal consideration. Still, there are times when silence acts as echo chamber for roaming thoughts and ideas. Whatever the conditions you find most conducive to writing, we hope you will join us this week in writing, then linking a Six Sentence Story. Poetry, fiction, fantasy, mystery, historical fiction or words from an soc – write a piece using this week’s prompt word in exactly and precisely 6 sentences and then share it with the world. We are, the Six Sentence Story blog hop. Read you out there!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.

Occasionally, there arises a writing situation where you see an alternative to what you are doing, a mad, wild gamble of a way for handling something, which may leave you looking stupid, ridiculous or brilliant – you just don’t know which. You can play it safe there, too, and proceed along the route you’d mapped out for yourself. Or you can trust your personal demon who delivered that crazy idea in the first place. Trust your demon.”

No route maps for me. Imagination runs free to the sound of birdsong and time trickling away… I’m seeing a roof garden somewhere…
