Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
When was the last time I opened up the Six for “Writer’s/Reader’s Choice” for the prompt word? I’m thinking it’s been awhile. In the past, we’ve had suggestions from Mimi and Paul, the Atomic Mage (fka TVTA), Lisa and others. What do you say? Anyone feeling a particular prompt word they’d like to suggest for the Six Sentence Stories‘ May 13, 2021 Edition? Let us know in a comment. We’ll have an informal vote – leave your choice in Comments. The word that receives the most votes will be chosen; the other suggestions will go on the list for use in successive weeks. Cool? Excellent. Soccer beckons. Have a most excellent week. Write. Then write some more. Read you soon!

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Return here, link your post Wednesday night through Saturday late…
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers 😀

I’ve not read any Kipling in years and not well versed in his writings however, I do love that quote 🙂

You mentioned soccer, Denise. Big game for my team later and the word that immediately comes to my mind is RIVALRY.

Did your team win? That is a fine word, Chris. Like Susan’s suggested word, I don’t believe we’ve ever used “Rivalry”

Postponed due to crowd trouble! Theirs not ours… Some rubbish about the European Super League which isn’t even going to happen.

Oh, no! I’m sorry to hear that. I’d heard an impassioned interview on NPR when the news broke there was going to be a Super League.
Can’t say I follow professional soccer (devoted fan/supporter of my nephew’s team), but that must have been a huge disappointment the game was cancelled because of crowd trouble. I take it the opposing team was in favor of a Super League? Hopefully, the game has been rescheduled.

The only people supporting the Super League are the owners of the clubs who are rich enough already. All the fans in all the clubs are against it!
            Anyway, on with the challenge…
