It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and another edition of Six Sentence Stories!
It’s Wednesday and I can’t seem to break the habit of writing this post during my lunch. Writing is a habit we all share, the frequency of which, naturally, varies writer to writer. The beauty of being a writer, of having the propensity for typing the letters of the alphabet to form words and sentences, is to literally hold the world in our hands. This world and any other one our imaginations can conjure. We share the enjoyment of words, using them in unique, fun ways, grouping them for dramatic effect or for causing a reader to squint their eyes slightly as they mull the meaning of the sentences that were just made. What am I trying to say? We’re writers! We love what we do, we love to tell stories, we love to write poetry, we love to cleverly twist words to say one thing and mean another, we love to entertain, comfort and commiserate. Six Sentence Stories is a venue whose doors open Wednesday evenings to begin the blog hop of the same name. Translation? You write a story, poem, serial installment, soc or memoir-ette in precisely 6 sentences, return here to GirlieOnTheEdge and link the URL to your story. As writers, we love to travel. We love interacting with other writers. Let’s write. Let’s talk. Let’s take a Six break at the Six Sentence Café and Bistro.

Rules of the hop:
Write 6 Sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
Link the URL to your post via the blue “Click here to enter” button below.
Link is live Wednesday 6:00 PM, ends way late Saturday night!
Spread the word and put in a good one to your fellow writers  😀
